Product Integrity, Safety and Risk Audits
ARPI conducts Product Integrity, Safety and Risk Audits of companies facing risk involving aviation and space. Whether you are an aviation or space OEM, aircraft component part manufacturer, UAV manufacturer or operator, raw material supplier, or service provider, involvement in aviation creates a risk of corporate loss and litigation exposure that is unique and unpredictable. ARPI uses its experienced team to visit your organization for a day or half day audit including reviews of processes, liability shifting in contracts, internal communication, history of incidents/accidents/litigation, product identification and field management, and internal and external communication dynamics. Following our review, your company is provided a detailed report of findings with recommendations to reduce risk and be better prepared for an FAA or NTSB investigation and/or litigation in the event of an accident. ARPI offers its services to insurers in need of eyes and ears on the ground before underwriting an aviation risk, as well as to companies to use as part of their insurance presentation as an aid to either retain aviation insurance or lower their premium.
Aviation Accident Litigation Mediator
ARPI's Founder received his foundational training in mediation and conflict resolution at the advent of the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law in 1987 where he was the research and graduate assistant to the founder, Randy Lowry. During his career as an aviation litigator, he has been the lead lawyer in 100's of cases from complex, multi-party, multi-district mediations to small personal injury matters involving airport services providers and operators. He received his Mediation Certification at Pepperdine's Professional Skills Training in Malibu, California in 2017. His mediation training and experience, coupled with his 25 year career litigating aviation cases, provides a distinct perspective and experience in handling the complex legal, technical and emotional issues present in aviation litigation matters. His legal experience ranges from cases involving general aviation aircraft and helicopter accidents to complex mass air disaster cases in MDL Litigation which were successfully resolved through mediation such as Silk Air 185 in Seattle, Singapore Airlines SQ006 in Los Angeles, and Garuda 152 in Chicago.
