Overview of Founder, Alan H. Collier
During his 25 year law firm career, Alan was a litigation partner in an international law firm (20 years at Mendes & Mount in the Aviation Department in Los Angeles and 5 years in the start-up firm of Fitzpatrick & Hunt, Tucker, Collier, Pagano, Aubert) handling high risk litigation specializing in Aviation and Products Liability all over the world primarily for the London aviation insurance market. Along with defending aviation companies following accidents, he has spent his career counseling, training and auditing numerous organizations (in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia) in the areas of risk/litigation prevention and management as well as product integrity in order to effectively handle and avoid risk.
Alan received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Abilene Christian University, summa cum laude in 1987, where he was a University Scholar. He continued his education at Pepperdine University School of Law on a full Dean's scholarship graduating with a Juris Doctor, cum laude in 1990 and was a member of the Dean's Honor List for all 3 years. He is a speaker and writer in the areas of aviation law and risk mitigation.
He is AV rated Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell and admitted in all state and federal district courts in California, the U.S. Court of Appeal for the 9th Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is honored to be designated as an Aviation Law Expert in Who's Who Legal for 2018. Alan is Panel Attorney for the Aircraft Owners and Pilot’s Association (AOPA) and Adjunct Professor of Law in Aviation Law at Pepperdine University School of Law.
